How do I invite someone to share visibility of their transactions with me?
To invite a loved one, you have to first download the Touco app and register yourself. Once you have finished, you will get to a screen with an invite link you can share.

From there, the person you have invited will be able to sign up using their browser either on a computer or their phone. They do not need to download an app.

What does my loved one need to sign up?
Anyone who signs up to Touco will need a:

  • Working email address.
  • UK phone number.

Anyone invited to use Touco will also need:

  • Online banking login details.

How do I share this invite link?
This is down to your personal preference. We recommend using a method that's familiar to your loved one – such as a text message or email.

Before sending a link, you should both have a conversation about using Touco together. At this point you can agree how you will send them the link, and whether you will support them during sign up.

Why does my invite link not work?
For security reasons, each invite link is only valid for 24 hours. If an invite link isn't working, it's likely that it has expired. Go back to the app, and use the new link provided.

What if I get an invite from someone I don't know?
For safety reasons, please report any strangers who send you a link to use Touco with them. We then recommend ignoring the invitation, which will expire in 24 hours. We do not notify this person whether you have clicked the invite link or not.

What if I don't want to use Touco with the person who invited me?
If the person who invited you has not talked to you about sharing your banking transactions beforehand, we recommend reaching out to them for a chat before making a decision.

If you do not want to use Touco at all, you can ignore the invite link and it will expire in 24 hours. Clicking on it does not notify the person who invited you.

If you feel able to, make sure to talk through your decision with your loved one.

What if I don't have online banking?
Unfortunately, without online banking there is no way to establish a connection between Touco and your bank account.

Most, if not all, UK banks offer online banking as part of their service. Enrolling can be as easy as a phone call or trip to a branch, and can yield many other benefits other than being used with Touco. Contact your bank to learn more about how this service might be useful to you.
